Govt Girls Science Sec School (GGSSS) Kuje was d best in Abuja bk den...from wat ve heard, i havn been seen any other skul dat matches up.
d track record for WAEC was amazing.
the teachers wer genuinely interested n well paid.
they actually had proper labs (granted, the biology lab ddnt hav much 2 boast of except dead animals...i think d well equiped 'home economics' lab makes up for dat sufficiently)
the girls wer 'decent'. school was strict on morals n discipline but easy wit punishment lik floggin n all dem degradin things
ooh u had options for uniform colours n u culd decide wat to do wit it so long as u styed within d 'code of decent n nonflambouyant dressing'
good food...if u ignore d groundnut soup and d pathetic attempt at recreating home-made tuwo
there was plenty extra curricular activities
creativity and competition was hugely encouraged (i can neva 4get 3skinny girls dancin bata wit a mix of hip-hop...lik i say, only in Kuje!)
the school had a lot of 'big people' backing so der was enuf funds n long leg to get all d 'extras'
d new principal managed 2 totally abolish all dat extreme seniority stuff found in nija sec schools.
der was a very positive aura to d school. none of dat evil spirit bla bla dat ppl talk about.
downsides..
2 much boi-shoko-risms. altho, i only heard stories. i ddn cc any
n d lady doin d gatechecks...genuinely scary!!
plus..if ur dad doesn luk old enuf 2 be yo dad...serious problems! esp if he chooses 2 visit u outside visiting day jus bcos he misses u
no tx Pent, now i hav 2 shed memory tears!
