Wow Tips - How to Survive in a PVP
« on: March 06, 2012, 10:03:25 AM »
Being aware of your surroundings and your current situation is crucial for surviving in PvP(player vs player). Players are always assessing their situations because PVP combat is a continuously evolving battlefield. I have compiled 3 critical Wow tips on surviving in PVP.

Wow tips#1 How to Use Your Surroundings

While engaged in player vs player, be sure to make use of all things in your environment, such as terrain, structures, and objects. Seek refuge behind trees, logs, rocks, mountains, inside buildings, underneath bridges, or in the water. In these safe surroundings, you are able to apply bandages, consume food, and other necessary activities. During a fight, utilize obstacles in the terrain to prevent ranged attackers from being able to see. If you happen to be a ranged attacker such as a Mage or Hunter, go to a higher elevation to shoot your attackers from a distance. If you happen to be a smaller race, such as a Gnome, seek shelter in bushes, behind boulders and trees, and possibly inside fellow players!

Wow tips#2 Keep your Distance in Combat

Placing yourself in close proximity to an enemy is not smart strategy. At the same time, it is equally unwise to turn your back on a Hunter while running away. This will often result in getting shot in the back.. Distance and direction are important for different reasons for each class. Become familiar with the perfect distances for combat. You also need to know where and when to move. While movement might be difficult while casting certain spells or using certain abilities, many instant spells are available that players can apply on the run.

Wow tips#3 Use Stealth To your advantage

Rogues and Druids are very difficult PvP adversaries because they possess stealth abilities. When characters enter stealth mode, you will detect the classic "whoosh" sound. When you detect that sound, be extremely alert to a surprise attack. The higher level you are compared to the stealthed character, determines your chance of detecting that character.

When you have skills such as Flare or Perception, they help you find characters in the stealth mode. Also, when you have specific items you improve your odds of stealth detection. It is important to note that Faerie Fire, Hunter's Mark, and damage-over-time spells can prevent a character from going in to stealth mode. When you are certain that an enemy in stealth mode is close, the best way to avoid them is just to run away. This is effective because at the higher levels, the movement velocity in stealth mode is slower than usual.

These 3 Wow tips on surviving in PVP barely scratch the surface. Unfortunately, many additional strategies and tactics are usually gained by experience in battle. And usually those experiences are hard earned!buy tera gold
