SCAM FRAUD ALERT! GVCCN and I am in Nigeria please send $$$ scamGuyz,
After trying to lure you to paypal, 2 checkout and fake Bank and ATM sites to enter secret data (which of course you should not do even if your bank calls you on phone), the latest of two scams are threatening yahoomail.
These scammers hack into your yahoo mail and send the following two mails to everyone in your mailing list:
"hello,
I hope this message meets you in best of health, Pardon my mistakes because I am in a hurry writing this, I had traveled to Nigeria for official purposes, Unfortunately for me all my money was stolen at the hotel where I lodged, I am so confused right now,I do not know what to do or where to go,I did not bring my phone here,I have access to only emails, please can you send me $3000"
and another one:
"i friend:i would like to introduce a good company who trades mainly in electornic products. Now the company is under sales promotion, all the products are sold nearly at its cost. They provide the best service to customers, they provide you with original products of good quality, and what is more, the priceis a surprising happiness to you!It is realy agoodchance for shopping.just grasp the opportunity,Now or never!
The web address:
www.gvccn.comyou can have a look ,it's very nice!"
The email address given is usually something like
gvccn08@hotmail.com (how wouldn't a great company have a personalized .com or .biz email?)
Awoof dey turn belle, such things are usually too cheap, too good to be true or too true to be good. Whichever way, do not fall for "cheap, easy and fast" stuffs on the internet, don't reveal your credit card details. Best thing is, get the goods first before making payment, that way you do not lose. There are thousands of those scam websites out there usually using UK/Amsterdam/US proxy phone lines and free emails.
Always google "businessname + scam" whenever you feel suspiscious about an offer. Mine landed me here:
