ECLIPSE - FOR BEGINNERS
« on: November 26, 2008, 01:54:44 PM »
After much trouble o the Internet trying to sort out my web service assignment, I was able to find out that Eclipse is better and easier to use compared to NetBeans especially for those that are new to programming.

That's why I'm building this thread to offer the little help I can with NetBeans.

DOWNLOAD ECLIPSE>> http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

Versions include:

1. Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers (163 MB) Most Recommended
2. Eclipse IDE for Java Developers (85 MB)
3. Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers (68 MB)
4. Eclipse Modeling Tools (includes Incubating components) (300 MB)
5. Eclipse for RCP/Plug-in Developers (175 MB)
6. Eclipse IDE for Java and Report Developers (195 MB)
7. Eclipse Classic 3.4.1 (151 MB)

Paul!

O boy! I don switch to Netbeans for now o; any example wey follow Eclipse, I go do am on top Eclipse and any one wey follow Netbeans, na for Netbeans o. Giving Ceasar's to Ceasar.

U won't believe it, I'm just leaving the lab after getting to the root of the problem in compiling that programme I was running on Netbeans.

I just finished building an FX Clock with Netbeans; will show you later.

Brit, it supports XML.

I just finished creating the temperature converter; it's working perfectly. I used Eclipse. The invoking was powered by Tomcat 6.0

U can also try the tutorial; it's here:

GOOD NIGHT PROGRAMMERS!  ;)

For those that have notified me about having problem with this tutorial above. I guess the problem you have is creating the Converter.java class. I will buzz with step by step tip soonest. Maybe tonight or tomorrow.
