Pastor Adeboye is Nigeria's Greatest Living Legend!

Having recently being criticised over the purchase of a "mission" jet and the completion of the world's largest Church auditorium (http://rubminds.com/forums/religion/redeemed-church-(rccg-nigeria)-opens-world%27s-biggest-auditorium-costs-n7-7b ) hitting double billion figures, the humble and most respected Pastor Enoch Adeboye beat a couple of political figures to the most elevated award of Nigeria's Living Legend. The other four runners-up are Kanu the footballer, Ojukwu, Wole Soyinka and Gani Fawehinmi. It is clear that no northerner made the final list and Kanu is the youngest finalist in this category.

Many are of the belief that Adeboye's election was enhanced by his large congregation but very few outside of the Church can argue the fact that he is indeed worthy of the accolades. With legendary humility and counseling skills, he is the greatest motivator and possibly the most respected figure in the country, more respected than any president past or present and this is evident in his selection as the only clergy on the list.

Well, it wasnt a popularity contest, but Nigeria's greatest living legend. Whatever u guys mean sha, I'm not so bothered about who won or who lost cos we all know legends when we see them.

In my opinion, such vote-based titles (especially in Nigeria) ARE popularity contests! not sayin daddy G.O. doesnt deserve it, but i doubt two-third of d people who voted for him have good (non-sentimental) reasons for pickin him.
